photographer & creative director
Rameen Awan is a photographer and creative director who focuses on portraits, editorial, and wedding photography on both digital and film formats. Her work has been featured in and recognized by Al-Jazeera, Pali Roots, South Asian Brides, @Muslim, and British Airways amongst various other publications.
An avid musician, writer, and calligrapher, Rameen loves to combine her passion of both fine and performing arts to capture and tell stories with her art. She often seeks inspiration from music, travel, cinema, philosophy, religion, and literature to bring an emotive quality to her work.
Rameen began 'Rameen Awan Photography' in 2014, initially building her portfolio in live music and stage performance photography. She has since expanded to include editorial, portraiture, wedding, and travel photography and has worked with dozens of notable brands and persons since.
Rameen currently resides in Chicago and splits her time between Chicago and her hometown of Milwaukee, WI. She can frequently be found in an airport headed on her next adventure, both domestic and international.
